About
The highest and most spectacular waterfall on Lesvos island, located in the mountains near Eresos. Best visited after rainfall when water flow is most impressive. Features a scenic ~500m hiking trail from the parking area through natural surroundings.
Before you go
What to expect
The short trail from the car park winds through shaded mountain terrain before revealing a dramatic cascade dropping into a rocky pool below. After good rains the sound reaches you before the falls do; in dry summer months the flow can reduce to a trickle. It's a peaceful stop that rewards the short walk with one of the most striking natural features on the island.
Best time to visit
Late autumn through spring, particularly after winter rainfall, when the falls run at full force.
How to get there
From Mytilene, head west toward Eresos — the drive takes roughly an hour to an hour and a half. A small parking area near the trailhead gives access to the 500-metre path up to the falls.
