Great coffee, and you’re allowed to bring your own food. The vegetarian omelets were delicious. It looked lively in the evening, but we visited for breakfast. Definitely a nice option.
It’s all amazing!!!! Especially the sweet French Toast and the chocolate soufflé😋
About
Perched in the quiet hillside village of Panagiouda, just a short drive south of Mytilini, Skiniko Cafe-Bar offers a relaxed retreat where locals and visitors alike come to unwind with a coffee, a cold drink, or something stronger as the day winds down. The name itself evokes a sense of place — a spot that feels rooted in its surroundings, unhurried and genuine in the way that the best Greek kafeneions have always been.
Whether you stop in for a morning freddo espresso before exploring the coastline, or linger over an evening drink as the light softens over the eastern Aegean, Skiniko captures the easy sociability that defines cafe culture on Lesvos. The island has a deep tradition of gathering around a table, and places like this one carry that spirit forward — a comfortable perch to watch village life unfold, strike up conversation, and let the rhythm of the island slow you down in the best possible way.
For visitors staying in or passing through the Mytilini area, Skiniko makes an ideal pause between the capital and the quieter roads heading north or south along the coast. It is the kind of neighborhood bar-cafe that rewards those who venture slightly off the main tourist track — modest, welcoming, and unmistakably Lesbian in character.
Before you go
What to expect
Skiniko has the pull of a place where locals actually sit — regulars nursing freddos, unhurried conversations, and no particular reason to move on. The setting in hillside Panagiouda keeps it quiet enough to hear yourself think, yet sociable enough that striking up a chat feels natural. It is the kind of stop that turns a ten-minute break into an hour.
Best time to visit
Late spring through early autumn is ideal; evenings in May and September are especially pleasant once the afternoon heat has softened.
How to get there
Panagiouda is a short drive south of Mytilene — expect roughly ten minutes along the coastal road heading out of town.

Servers seemed untrained and unsure of what they were doing. Service was extremely slow, and the food and drinks were low quality. If you're here for the view, good choice but if you're here for the food, stay away!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. While we are genuinely sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations, we would like to take a moment to clarify a few points.

Our staff does their best to assist every guest, even when certain requests fall outside our standard offerings. In your case, we unfortunately did not carry the specific beer brand or olives you asked for, as they are not part of our current menu. Similarly, regarding the americano coffee request at 12:30 a.m., our coffee machines are shut down earlier in the evening, in line with our kitchen closing procedures — a common practice in hospitality for operational and safety reasons.

We understand that preferences vary, but we strive to offer high-quality options within our selected menu. We are proud to provide a relaxing atmosphere and one of the best views in the area, which many of our guests appreciate.

We welcome constructive feedback and are always looking to improve, but it is also important that expectations align with what we actually offer. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future under more favorable circumstances.

We set out to visit the Roman aqueduct in Moria but ended up on a bonus adventure through the narrowest streets known to humankind. At one point, it felt like our car was attempting parkour. Thankfully, a kind local came to our rescue and helped us navigate the maze. After finally making it to the aqueduct (which was totally worth it), we decided to reward ourselves with a stop on the way to Paralia Vigla beach, and wow, did we strike gold. The fresh mixed fruit juice hit like a tropical vacation in a glass, and the homemade orange pie with ice cream? Absolutely divine. Like, hug-the-chef good. Highly recommend!

Great little place to wind down. Terrace is fantastic and chairs are very comfortable. Good view on the marina. Food was mediocre, which was no problem since it was compensated with good staff.

amazing spot but the bad service. The waitress was unpleasant. When we asked about the options available in the menu the answers were unpleasant. Bad food. In short you should sit with a cup of tea and enjoy the view

Fast service, great coffee. Inexpensive, cozy and medium sized cafeteria with great views. It's a very nice alternative if someone wants not to be limited in Mytilene's choices. Nice food for those you want something more than a snack and less than a meal. My only criticism is for the windows that have many spots and no shade.

A very good place to have some good coffee and meet local people. The setting is really nice, right on the sea shore. Also, serves food, so that's great also. The atmosphere is hip, with an urban accent, so the place is a go to for the local youth. Not very traditional though, so if that's what you're looking for you might just go in, grab a to go coffee and take a walk on the sea shore
