It's so nice here, good food and drinks, people are super sweet and happy to help, you can also do sports in the hotel and you can also swim here, I had a wonderful time, I will definitely come here
Nice hotel, the location was perfect to visit nearby towns. The rooms are a bit outdated but clean. The food is Ok. Nice selection of different dishes every day. But nothing special. The staff was really nice.
About
Perched along the northern shore of Lesvos near the tranquil village of Efthalou, Sunrise Resort Hotel offers guests a peaceful retreat in one of the island's most unspoiled corners. The surrounding coastline is characterized by clear Aegean waters, pebbled shores, and a sense of calm that feels far removed from busier resort areas, making this an ideal base for travelers seeking genuine relaxation rather than crowds.
The hotel's location near Efthalou is a particular draw, as the village is celebrated for its natural thermal springs, where hot mineral waters have been channeled into traditional stone bathhouses for generations. Guests staying at Sunrise Resort can easily combine time by the sea with a visit to these historic baths, a combination that has long attracted visitors looking to restore both body and spirit. The broader area also serves as a gateway to the dramatic northern landscapes of Lesvos, including olive groves, wild coastline, and small fishing settlements that retain an authentic Greek character.
For those who want to explore the island, the resort provides a comfortable home base within reasonable distance of Molyvos, one of Lesvos's most celebrated medieval villages, with its imposing Byzantine castle and cascade of stone houses tumbling toward the harbor. Whether you come for the thermal springs, the quiet beaches, or simply the restorative quality of the northern Aegean light, Sunrise Resort Hotel offers a welcoming presence in a part of Lesvos that rewards the traveler willing to venture beyond the well-trodden path.
Before you go
What to expect
Days here settle into a slow, restorative rhythm: morning swims off the pebbled shore, afternoons soaking in the historic thermal baths at Efthalou just steps away, evenings watching the Aegean light fade from a quiet terrace. The northern coastline has a raw, unmanicured feel — rocky, unhurried, genuinely off the tourist circuit — that suits travelers who find value in that kind of stillness.
Best time to visit
Late May through September is the sweet spot; July and August bring the warmest water and longest days, yet this corner of the island stays noticeably quieter than the busier resort strips.
How to get there
From Mytilene, drive north through the island's interior — expect roughly an hour to an hour and a quarter depending on your route. Molyvos is a useful landmark along the way; Efthalou lies a short distance beyond it along the coastal road.

Tbh, hotel was good. However it has a some of problems like language problems. Unfortunately employers can't speak English. Just I found one of them for really able to speak it. If you're going to hotel, you must can take a good help with English. But this hotel couldn't give this. In addition breakfast was delicious, pool great but not deep(1.60 max). Environment are good. Also view is better than everything. So if you thing for coming this hotel, probably you won't get a bad experience, but as a little adviser learn some of Greek languages👍

The bad impression began from the moment we arrived. The person at reception (possibly the manager) greeted us with a scowl, as if we had killed his mother... But let’s move on to more practical matters. All the rooms have a balcony facing the sea. However, while half the balconies have railings, the other half have a one-meter-high wall. So, you have a 50% chance of sitting on your balcony and staring at the wall. The same applies when you're inside the room — even though it's supposedly a room with a view! The air conditioner was placed directly opposite the bed, which caused us trouble the first night. Leaving the balcony door open would have been a good option, but unfortunately there were no mosquito screens. And mosquitoes were flying around. The layout was bad. The outdoor unit of the AC was installed on the balcony, even though it could easily have been placed outside the front door, where there was enough space and it wouldn’t bother anyone. Even the "Do Not Disturb" sign couldn’t be hung on the outside of the door because the external handle was too big... The breakfast was mediocre. The dining area and buffet were too small to serve all the guests. Eggs were rationed! They came out every 10 minutes or so and disappeared immediately. Despite the staff’s efforts, I’ve never before encountered a buffet where they ran out of butter, milk — even water! Overall, we had no desire to spend time in the room. And one last thing: there’s a “resilience fee” of 15 euros per night, which is not included in the room rate.

Great location on a hill top with beautiful view to the sea. The staff is friendly and helpful to assist or provide if possible. The breakfast is fine. The rooms are clean, and in good condition (the bath shower of older date) good aircondition and overall the cleaning staff do a great work to keep you happy. (The room has a small fridge with some drinks and you can top up yourself - small mini mart approx. 6 min walk from the hotel. The dinner (if you have that included in your packaged ? Is terrible !! Very poor quality and nothing you expect when on Holliday - do yourself a favor a stay away from this option go to the town (15 min. Walk instead and you will find great options that will enrich your stay and memories for a great vacation in Lesbos ..

Very clean rooms, most of the staff were friendly, and the hotel is located very close to the city center, BUT… There were a lot of mosquitoes in the rooms because the windows don’t have nets. It was so bad that we had to buy and install mosquito nets ourselves. We barely slept for a whole week because we spent the nights killing mosquitoes . In the restaurant, there were also lots of flies and wasps, making it really hard to enjoy a meal in peace. Breakfast was okay, but dinner was quite tasteless and the selection was poor. If you're looking to relax and enjoy your holiday, I really wouldn't recommend this hotel. It's unacceptable that nothing is being done about the insects — the staff should really address this issue! The only solution they offered was a spray, which turned out to be ineffective.

The hotel has great value for the money. The fact that few times a day they have shuttle to the city, really helps a lot. The rooms are big, also the bathroom (including the shower area), a lot of amenities and the view from the balcony is wow! A lot of options for breakfast and even though are more or less the same every day, you can choose from a lot of options. They have ramp for disabled people even the stairs are quite a lot. We felt really good there!

We visited as a family at the start of August. We had a great time. The room was set halfway up the hill set behind the hotels main building. The room was comfortable and clean. The views were brilliant. Well worth the climb up the steps. The breakfasts were great with good choice. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Manolas at the bar is a superstar. The ladies at the pool bar were very nice and hard working. The pools were clean. As we have an older child we spent most of our time at the quieter pool above the main pool. Yes the hotel is away from Molyvos centre but there is a bus provided by the hotel which goes to and fro every few hours. Molyvos is one of our favourite places. We were very happy at the sunrise and hope to return.

3 star motel with a pool. View is nice. First they mixed up our bookings (we booked 2 family rooms, poolside), then the receptionist angrily tried to tell us we made a mistake. Turns out they are stopping using hotels.com/Expedia, or so they say. The manager came and resolved it - he was quite a reasonable guy. Service at reception is generally quite terrible. The ladies working there are just unpleasant. When asking where the gym is, she couldn't tell me, then scoffed as if I should know. It doesn't open until 9am either. Hotel claims to be 5 star but let's say that's a stretch. Rooms are very old. The chair leg was broken and when we spoke to reception they had it repaired. Rooms smell of mold (not just ours but also our friend's). Cleaning staff and pool cafe staff are very polite. Food at pool cafe was quite good. Young man who helped us with bags and showed us the room was really good. Pool is nice, although quite old. Restaurant is a bit of a joke. Breakfast is included but it's not worth eating if you want to enjoy it. All the products are substandard, e.g. not so fresh vegetables, overcooked eggs, etc. It's not terrible but just not good. We only ate there once in 5 days. Plenty of nice cafes in Molyvos if you have a car. Dinner. Impossible to be spontaneous as they don't serve dinner unless you pre book it in the morning. Location. Beautiful view. A bit far from Molyvos but a nice view of the Turkish coast. Car parking up near the rooms is not managed and people are allowed to park any way they want with no consequences. So it's hard or impossible to turn around, and you have to reverse a long way.

It's a great hotel with a nice view but I found the chairs on the balcony rather uncomfortable. Furthermore despite this hotel having a gym and a spa, it does not have a play room with 8ball and similar stuff. The food isn't that good and there are almost no vegan options so if you are a vegan this hotel isn't for you. Other than that, the service is very good, the rooms are nice and cosy. The pool is very nice with beautiful palm trees around it. You should know that this isn't a luxury 5star hotel experience though
