Amfitriti Hotel
Visitors say
A very sweet place with a nice swimming pool, 2min from the beach, a spectacular view of the castle and right at the town entrance.
We come here almost every year but this year the staff and owners were especially helpful with regards to helping my elderly granny.
About
Nestled near the enchanting village of Molyvos on Lesvos's northern coast, the Amfitriti Hotel takes its name from the sea goddess of Greek mythology, a fitting tribute given its setting along one of the Aegean's most storied shorelines. Molyvos itself is a jewel of the island — a medieval hillside village crowned by a Byzantine-era castle, its tiers of stone houses with terracotta rooftiles tumbling down toward a picturesque harbour. Staying at a hotel bearing this mythological name in such a setting places guests at the heart of what makes Lesvos so compelling.
The Amfitriti Hotel offers accommodation that puts visitors within easy reach of Molyvos's cobbled lanes, waterfront tavernas, and the cultural riches of the surrounding area. Guests can explore the imposing Genoese castle that watches over the village, swim at nearby pebbly beaches along the crystal-clear northern coast, or take day trips to the ouzo distilleries, petrified forest, and traditional villages that dot the island. Whether arriving for the warm summer months or the quieter shoulder seasons when the light turns golden and the crowds thin, the hotel provides a comfortable home base for discovering this exceptionally beautiful corner of Lesvos.
Before you go
What to expect
The hotel sits at the foot of Molyvos, a medieval hillside village crowned by a Genoese castle that watches over the harbour and tiers of stone houses below. Most guests divide their time between the cobbled lanes and waterfront tavernas of the village and the clear pebbly beaches strung along this unspoiled northern coastline.
Best time to visit
Late May through September suits most visitors; June and September offer good swimming weather with noticeably fewer crowds than peak July and August.
How to get there
Molyvos is roughly a 50–60 minute drive north from Mytilene, following the northern road through olive groves and hillside villages before descending to the coast.

Traditional Greek rooms in a beautiful building, simple but spotlessly clean. The location is perfect on the edge of the village with everything nearby Tavernas, nice little bars and small supermarkets to cover all your holiday needs. Nice gardens with a pool area where you can relax and take your breakfast. Depending on which room you take you would get a pool, country or village view with fantastic views of the castle thrown in, amazing. If you want 5* luxury it's not for you but in our opinion a holiday to Molyvos or Lesvos is not about that. Thoroughly Recommended !

If you're looking for a 5* hotel this is not for you, but if youre looking for real Greece, then this is perfect! Set just off the main road in a quiet little cobbled street surrounded by olive groves, it's so peaceful. The beauty of it is that all you need is within walking distance....beach, shops, tavernas, harbour and plenty of places to eat. The hotel is simple but spotlessly clean. The swimming pool is set in peaceful gardens with beautiful views up to the castle. Breakfast is typically Greek and can be taken sitting in the sun or under the shade of an olive tree in the garden. Some upstairs rooms have little balconies and downstairs ones have a little concrete sitting area. We were in 105, which looked out onto the cobbled street and the olive groves. It was lovely to sit out and people watch. I have seen complaints on some sites about the walk from the drop off point but its hardly a big distance. If you want real, peaceful Greece then I recommend this hotel. So many of the people we met were returning guests. That has to tell you something!

The best in Molivos. The pool is another advantage when you dont feel like going to sea. The garden is relaxing. The rooms are really clean. The owners are very nice people. You will definitely feel at home there.
