About

Tucked away in the quiet residential neighbourhood of Alyfada, Apartments To Rent at Kefalinias 7 offers visitors a comfortable and unpretentious base from which to explore the western reaches of Lesvos. This self-catering accommodation provides the kind of relaxed, independent stay that suits travellers who prefer to set their own pace — waking up when the mood takes them, heading out to nearby beaches or olive groves, and returning to the ease of their own space at the end of the day.

The location places guests within reach of both the natural beauty and the everyday rhythms of local life on the island. Alyfada sits in a part of Lesvos characterised by gentle countryside, traditional villages, and a landscape shaped by centuries of olive cultivation. Staying here rather than in a larger resort area means encountering a quieter, more authentic side of the island — the kind of neighbourhood where neighbours greet each other by name and the pace of life feels genuinely unhurried.

For those planning an extended stay on Lesvos, apartment-style accommodation like this offers real practical advantages: the flexibility of a kitchen, the comfort of a home base, and the freedom to explore the island at leisure rather than on a tour schedule. Whether you are here to walk coastal paths, visit the petrified forest, sample local ouzo in village kafeneions, or simply sit and watch the Aegean light change over the hills, Kefalinias 7 provides a welcoming and uncomplicated place to come home to each evening.

Before you go

What to expect

A self-catering base in Alyfada, a calm residential quarter of Mytilini where the streets are quiet and neighbours still wave hello. You keep your own hours, use your own kitchen, and return each evening to your own space rather than a hotel corridor. It suits travellers who want to use Mytilini as a proper home base while day-tripping across the island.

Best time to visit

A practical choice year-round since it sits in the city itself; spring and autumn bring the most comfortable temperatures for exploring.

How to get there

The apartments are in Mytilini, roughly a 10-minute walk from the main port — no car needed on arrival, though hiring one from the town makes reaching the rest of the island straightforward.

It has a small kitchen with all the necessary amenities and is clean. The location is central; we could easily walk from the harbor. The only downside was the small bathroom; they put a non-slip mat on the shower floor, which wasn't very hygienic. Other than that, there is a hill, yes, but even with a baby, it wasn't too difficult for us. Recommended ❤️

Our priorities were affordability and cleanliness. The hotel met both requirements. Our room also had a kitchen (oven, hob, refrigerator), an iron, and a washing machine. The air conditioning and TV were also of good quality. It's located close to the center of Mytilene's market. The only downside is that you'll have to climb a ramp to get there, and then descend stairs to enter the hotel from the garden gate. Otherwise, it's a good option.

Excellent rooms, beautiful location!!! It is located in the center of Mytilene, close to many points such as the market and the waterfront, which is very convenient for walking on foot and not needing a car!!! The rooms are luxurious, beautiful, new and comfortable and you have a great night's sleep!!! The owner, Mr. Thodoros, is kind, helpful in everything I needed and helped me a lot!!!! Very comfortable spaces and I recommend it to anyone who wants it unreservedly!!!! Also, the garden at the entrance is very beautiful and well-kept, as well as the night lighting in the courtyard!!!!

Nothing special. It has a big hill and stairs and is not recommended for older people or people with mobility problems. Another big problem is the parking, which you can't find at all, but even if you do, your neighborhood brings the police and distributes calls. You pass by and don't bother

Owner Response

You closed the door of the house and the neighbor could not leave his house. We must respect the laws. The apartments are at a very low altitude and most have a view. It would be good to say thank you for the gifts and to acknowledge that you should have informed me of the damage you did. You left the apartment dirty.

It was a renovated and, most importantly, clean place. The sea and harbor view from the balcony was lovely. Getting the keys with the code system and being greeted with the gesture at the table was also nice, thank you. I think there's a problem with the exact location on Google Maps. We found it after coming a short distance and looking around a bit. Walking from the house to the seaside takes very little time. Yes, there's a bit of a hill on the way back. There are 3-4 parking spaces on the roadside in front, but since we couldn't find any empty, we parked somewhere a little further up. This seemed like a problem on the first day, but then we got used to it. It was a smooth and pleasant experience.

The hill is too steep for the elderly and those with children. Although it seems close to the center, be sure to factor in the incline. There's nowhere to park. The street is very narrow. While the building looks very nice from the outside, the furniture in the rooms is old, and the shower cabin in the bathroom is very small, difficult to fit in. The complimentary ouzo on the first day was a nice gesture. Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, mini fridge, washing machine, stove – all necessities are available.

Owner Response

The road is 5 meters. The bathroom is 80*80 and the building is new and has been operating for a year. As for the old-fashioned one, it can be seen from the photos.<br>Thank you very much.

The owner is very nice, and the place is quite adequate and clean. It's very close to the city center, but the only drawback is accessibility. It might be difficult for the overweight, the sick, or the disabled. Motorcycles can be parked on the street (scooters are fine, but I wouldn't recommend it for larger motorcycles). If I'm ever in Midilli again, I'll stay there again.

Owner Response

Thank you very much.

Pros: A wonderful, clean, and wonderful place to stay. Everything is provided, including a kettle, towels, soap, toilet paper, pots and pans, and it's very clean. The bed is very comfortable. The only downside for Apartment 2 is the lack of a balcony, which I knew I needed. Thank you for the complimentary ouzo. There's nothing negative about the property. The area is terrible for those arriving by car. Parking is a problem. The streets are very narrow, and inexperienced drivers can get into trouble. There's nothing else wrong with it. I liked it.
