About

Armonia Studios offers a welcoming base for travellers exploring the unspoiled northwestern corner of Lesvos, situated near the tranquil village of Anaxos Skoutarou on the Gulf of Kalloni side of the island. The name itself, meaning "harmony" in Greek, hints at the spirit of the place: a setting where the pace of life slows, the sea air is clean, and the surrounding landscape of pine-clad hillsides and olive groves invites genuine rest. Studio-style accommodation of this kind is the backbone of independent travel on Lesvos, offering guests the comfort of their own space with a kitchenette, making it easy to pick up local produce at the market and settle into the rhythm of island life.

The location places guests within easy reach of Anaxos beach, one of the longer and more sheltered stretches of sand on the western coast, popular with families and windsurfers alike. From here, day trips to Molyvos, the medieval hilltop town just a short drive to the north, or to the petrified forest near Sigri to the south, are entirely practical. The area around Anaxos and Skoutarou retains a genuinely local character, with traditional kafeneions and fish tavernas along the shore where the catch of the day is taken seriously.

Armonia Studios suits those who want a quiet, unhurried holiday without sacrificing convenience. Whether you are spending lazy mornings on the beach, exploring the Byzantine and Ottoman heritage scattered across the island's villages, or simply reading in the shade of a bougainvillea-draped terrace, this kind of intimate studio accommodation captures what independent travel in the Greek islands does best: putting you close to the landscape, the sea, and the people, on your own terms.

Before you go

What to expect

Mornings here start slowly — coffee on your own terrace, then a short walk to Anaxos beach, where shallow sheltered water suits young children and windsurfers alike. The kitchenette in each studio means you can pick up produce at the local market and eat on your own schedule, or wander down to the waterfront fish tavernas for grilled octopus and the day's catch.

Best time to visit

May through October is the sweet spot; July and August are lively but Anaxos handles summer crowds better than most northern beaches.

How to get there

From Mytilene, take the main northern road toward Kalloni and continue toward Petra; the drive to Anaxos Skoutarou takes around 50 to 60 minutes depending on the route.

This place is a disgrace. The pool is so filthy you can't see it. The mosquito nets in the room are torn. It's not used. Air conditioning costs extra. The refrigerator in the room doesn't work. There's no room cleaning. Don't choose this place.

I give it 5 stars for a 2-star property. It's worth remembering that it's a 2-star property. Don't expect luxury here, but it's clean. Housekeeping is daily. It's close to the beach, about 200 meters down a street. I recommend it to those looking for peace and quiet. There are two shops and a pub nearby. It's a nice place.

I recommend it :)) Friendly staff, great location, beautiful views from the balcony, and a quiet and safe neighborhood. The air conditioning in the room worked flawlessly. The room was cozy, but the cleanliness could be a bit better. Minor cleaning issues were noticeable. The small shower was also a downside.

A quiet, peaceful place, a bit tricky to get to with a suitcase. The owners are friendly. The rooms are spacious with a small balcony and air conditioning, but rather worn and poorly maintained. The furnishings are sparse, with no cutting board and a hole in the kitchen counter. A big plus is the pool and the greenery surrounding it. Sun loungers are available by the pool. Shops and restaurants are nearby. The sea, with its captivating sunsets and the wonderful sound of the waves, is also nearby.

I spent 3 nights at this hotel with my friends and we had the greatest time! The staff were very hospitable and the overall accommodation was very youth friendly. The beach was very accessible, about a 5 minute walk from the location and we enjoyed the food very much!

I am posting this review not to vent but to share information so that you can make an informed decision. I stayed at Armonia Studios with my son. We were traveling with family members and they booked the place for everyone. Unfortunately the place is not taken care of well. Particularly the bathrooms are quite dilapidated. On the 2nd morning of our stay the flushing system of the toilet broke down and flooded the bathroom. No one was around to give a notice (neither the owners nor the cleaning staff) and the water kept pouring until late afternoon when someone showed up to clean the rooms. The night before we had a scare with a centipede when my son found it in his bed. Lucky we found the cleaning staff who helped moving the bed frames until we found the critter She said they come from the pipes. When we first checked in our gripe was that the wifi would only work in the reception area. But as the days advanced it became clear that things can get a lot worse. Compared to other options this place is more affordable but I would have definitely picked a different place.
