About
Nestled in the quiet coastal village of Agios Isidoros on the southern shore of Lesvos, Mirsini Hotel offers a welcoming base for travellers seeking an authentic Greek island experience away from the busier resort towns. The surrounding area is characterised by olive groves, a calm pebble-and-sand beach, and the unhurried rhythm of a traditional Aegean fishing village, making it an ideal retreat for those who come to Lesvos to genuinely unwind rather than simply pass through.
Staying at the Mirsini puts guests within easy reach of some of the island's most rewarding pleasures: morning swims in clear water, evenings at the village tavernas sampling fresh seafood and locally produced ouzo, and day trips to nearby attractions including the medieval castle town of Plomari, renowned as the ouzo capital of Lesvos, just a short drive along the coast. The hotel's location in the quieter southeastern pocket of the island also provides convenient access to the broader landscape of Lesvos, from its thermal springs and petrified forest to its celebrated birdwatching routes.
For visitors who want to experience Lesvos as the locals know it rather than through the lens of mass tourism, Mirsini Hotel represents precisely the kind of modest, characterful accommodation that defines travel in this part of the Aegean. The village setting encourages slow mornings, long lunches, and the simple satisfaction of a place where the sea is close, the pace is gentle, and the hospitality is genuine.
Before you go
What to expect
Mornings at Mirsini begin with the sound of fishing boats and the scent of olive groves pressing close to the village edges. The beach — a mix of pebble and sand with clear, calm water — is within easy walking distance, and the village stays genuinely quiet even at the height of summer. Come evening, guests and locals share the same terrace tables at the handful of tavernas, where the seafood comes in fresh and the local ouzo is poured generously.
Best time to visit
May through October is the swim season; September brings cooler evenings and noticeably fewer visitors than the August peak.
How to get there
From Mytilene, follow the southern coastal road southwest toward Plomari, the island's ouzo capital; Agios Isidoros lies a short distance beyond Plomari, making the full drive roughly 30 to 40 minutes.

We had a wonderful stay at Mirsini Hotel. Its location is perfect—just a short walk to one of the island’s most beautiful beaches. The rooms were spotless and the view was truly amazing. A special thanks to Eirini and the owners for their warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lesvos.

Welcoming staff, obviously care about their hotel, this has to be the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at! We stayed just one night. I would say you need a car to comfortably go to the town, but only a short walk to the beach. Good kitchen area within the room if you are self catering.

We had a very comfortable stay for a couple of nights at Mirsini. The location is great, just a few minutes' walk to the wonderful beach of Plomari. The room was spacious and clean, with a kitchen that had basic cooking utensils. We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony with a nice view and a pleasant wind. The hosts were very kind. Thank you very much.

A very friendly family-run hotel. At the roundabout, there is a bus stop for Mytilini buses. Visit Ktel Lesvos website for the bus schedule. You can use the shortcut to Agios Isidoros beach, which cannot be seen on the map. Walking distance to the sea 5 minutes, to Plomari 25 minutes. They would also help you with bike or car rental.

Our 3-day stay ended with the best impressions we could possibly have. A family-run business with people so kind, helpful and cheerful that make you feel truly welcome. The rooms are spacious, clean, with every comfort existent. Walking distance (2 min) from Agios Isidoros beach and 10 minutes from Plomari. A pet and family friendly hotel I would recommend to everyone.
