Molyvos Free Parking

Arrive early, otherwise they'll put a female officer at the entrance and won't let vehicles through. Parking here would be a great advantage for you.
You can't park here after about six. You can still leave the parking area but not enter, this to stop the amount of cars on the street but other than that, they are perfect places
About
Molyvos, one of Lesvos's most celebrated medieval villages, draws visitors from across the island and beyond with its cascading stone houses, Byzantine castle, and picturesque harbor. Finding a place to leave your car is one of the practical realities of exploring this popular destination, and this free parking area offers a convenient solution for travelers arriving by vehicle.
Located near the village, this parking lot provides an accessible base from which to begin exploring Molyvos on foot. Visitors can leave their car here and walk into the labyrinthine alleyways of the old town, making their way up toward the imposing Genoese castle that crowns the hilltop or down to the waterfront tavernas and fishing boats bobbing in the harbor. Free of charge and open to the public, it is a practical amenity that makes a day trip or longer stay in Molyvos considerably more relaxed, particularly during the busy summer season when narrow village streets are best navigated without a car.
Before you go
What to expect
The lot sits at the edge of the old village core, right where the streets become too narrow for cars, making it the natural gateway to Molyvos on foot. From here you can choose your direction: uphill through the cobbled lanes toward the Genoese castle ramparts, or downhill to the harbor where fishing boats rock and waterfront tavernas spill onto the quay. On a hot summer afternoon the walk in from the lot gives you a moment to settle before the village draws you in.
Best time to visit
May, June, and September offer the easiest parking; in July and August the lot fills early, so arriving before 10am saves frustration.
How to get there
Molyvos is about an hour's drive north of Mytilene along the main road. Follow signs for Molyvos as you approach and the parking area is signposted on the outskirts, just before the lanes narrow.

People park terribly and there is no space, so we parked in the park at the entrance of the city and walked a little longer, but what can we do?

Limited free parking. During high season, it's unlikely you'll find a spot.

It's a nice touch for car owners. However, finding a spot at any time is very difficult; it's entirely a matter of luck. Especially if you're arriving in the evening and don't have any luggage, it's much more sensible to leave your car in the free parking area on the right side of the road at the entrance to Molivos, about a 6-7 minute walk from here.
