A wonderful bakery! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to visit for freshly baked goods!
I went there because I saw the reviews. Yep, the products were really good and quite cheap compared to my city. A special mention to the chocolate croissant. Very good!
About
Tucked near the sun-drenched village of Anaxos on the northwest coast of Lesvos, Bros E Pavli O.E. is one of those unpretentious local businesses that gives a stretch of coastline its character. Anaxos itself sits along a broad, shallow bay with a long sandy beach backed by tamarisk trees, drawing a mix of Greek families and independent travelers who prefer a quieter alternative to the more touristed resorts on the island. Businesses like this one form the backbone of the local economy, typically offering goods or services tailored to the rhythms of the surrounding community and the seasonal flow of visitors.
The O.E. designation marks this as a family general partnership, the kind of small enterprise passed between generations that you encounter throughout the Aegean islands. Whether serving as a shop, a workshop, or a service provider for the local area, places of this kind carry a distinctly personal quality — the owners know their neighbors, understand what the village needs, and often go beyond the transactional to offer genuine hospitality and local knowledge. Stopping in is as much about the human exchange as it is about any particular product or service.
For visitors exploring the western coast of Lesvos, the Anaxos area rewards those willing to slow down. The drive from Molyvos along the coast is scenic, with views of the Turkish coast shimmering across the narrow strait. A visit to a local business like Bros E Pavli O.E. offers a small but meaningful window into everyday island life, away from the curated tourist trail and into the quieter world that most of Lesvos still inhabits.
Before you go
What to expect
Bros E Pavli O.E. carries the quiet, personal quality of a family partnership that has grown into the fabric of Anaxos village life — the kind of place where owners know their neighbors by name and conversation comes as naturally as commerce. The village itself sits beside a wide, shallow bay with a long sandy beach shaded by tamarisk trees, so any errand here tends to stretch into a slower, more pleasant hour than planned. It offers a glimpse of how the northwest coast actually functions day to day, well away from the curated tourist experience.
Best time to visit
Late spring through early autumn is when the area is at its best; July and August bring more visitors, but Anaxos stays noticeably quieter than the island's larger beach resorts.
How to get there
From Mytilene, follow the main road north through Kalloni, then continue northwest toward Petra and Molyvos; Anaxos is a short turn off that route along the coast, roughly an hour and a half by car.

I tried several pastries and everything were delicious. The edges of the pastry are not just dough and you have filling all the way.The savory ones have a buttery dough but the sweet ones are very syrupy. My favorite was the spinach pie and Orange cake. And surprisingly enjoyable was the ice cream in pastry sheets. And a nice and talkative lady works there.

Third generation of bakers and every recipe has been perfected. Don’t miss the orange cake! My only regret on leaving Anaxos is that I didn’t have time to buy more bread and cakes from this excellent bakery.
