Nestled along the coastline near Charamida, on the sun-drenched southern shores of Lesvos, the Lesvos Diving Center offers visitors a gateway to the island's spectacular underwater world. The waters surrounding Lesvos are among the most rewarding in the northeastern Aegean, shaped by volcanic geology and fed by nutrient-rich currents that sustain vibrant marine life. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced diver, this center caters to all levels, providing guided dives, equipment rental, and instruction in a safe and welcoming environment.
Beneath the surface, divers discover a hidden landscape of rocky reefs, sea caves, and sandy seabeds teeming with octopus, moray eels, grouper, and colorful reef fish. What to expect
You kit up on a small coastal platform and slip into water that stays remarkably clear, with visibility that lets you trace volcanic rock formations all the way down to the sandy floor. The reefs shelter octopus tucked into crevices, moray eels peering from gaps, and passing grouper — a richer underwater scene than the open Aegean typically delivers. Staff are patient and attentive whether you are logging your first breath underwater or your hundredth dive.
Best time to visit
May through October for comfortable water temperatures; July and August offer the warmest seas but book ahead as summer slots fill quickly.
How to get there
The center is in Charamida on the southern coast, about 10 km from Mytilene — a 15 to 20 minute drive south along the coastal road.

Great new diving center. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and excellent gear and suits! My boyfriend and I booked the Discover Scuba Diving package for €120 pp. We started with a bit of theory/instructions. Then we did a dive up to 6m from the beach. After a lunch break (you can get a cheap and tasty lunch at the beach club next door) we did a second dive; this time from a speedboat next to a small island. The second dive was up to 12m. We saw colorful fish, a lion fish, two squids and several orange starfish. Very fun experience! We felt completely safe the whole time, our instructor checked on us a lot during the dive. Definitely recommend!

I recently visited this diving center, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. The instructors were incredibly friendly and made the entire process really enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to dive!

I was there some days ago and had an amazing experience!! Christos and Yannis are super friendly and experienced divers, they made me feel safe enough to decide to get the first certificate so I can now be a diver as well 😁🫧🤿❣️ I HIGHLY recommend this place 😊

Highly recommend diving with Christos and his team, they are fantastic. I have dove twice with Chistos and both times were very enjoyable. They make you feel safe and communicate well in English. Yannis was on my last trip, as well, which added to the fun. Equipment is top notch. Charamida Beach is a great place for your non-diving family and friends to hang out while you are diving. You can hang with them between dives which is unique Please look them up while in Lesvos. My dive trip was July 17, 2024.

Amazing diving center, the instructors and the staff are very polite-welcoming. All the diving spots are beautiful specially Kavourolimni. Considering the above and the brand new equipment it has to be the best diving center I have been in all my years as a diver. I recommend it 100%.
