I spent a month alone on Mytilene and this was one of my favourite places to hang out with a book. The owner and staff are very hospitable and welcome. The music was good and the food honest, fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend stopping by here. ❤️🙏
Wonderful little hidden bar/restaurant in Mytilene Town. The Moroccan meatball dish was amazing! Salads were delicious - and the atmosphere was great … great music.
About
Tucked away near the quiet village of Alyfada on the northern coast of Lesvos, Loksa Bistro Bar offers a welcoming pause for travellers venturing beyond the island's busier tourist trails. This stretch of Lesvos is known for its unhurried pace, olive groves, and sweeping views toward the Aegean, and a place like Loksa fits naturally into that rhythm — a spot where locals and curious visitors alike can settle in and let the afternoon slow down around them.
As a bistro bar, Loksa blends the relaxed sociability of a Greek kafeneion with a more contemporary sensibility, offering drinks, light bites, and the kind of easy atmosphere that encourages lingering. Whether you stop in for a cold Mythos beer after a morning of exploring the surrounding countryside, a coffee to accompany the view, or something more substantial to keep you going through the day, the bistro format means there is usually something to suit the moment and the mood.
For visitors who make a point of seeking out the lesser-known corners of Lesvos rather than sticking to the well-worn path between Mytilene and Molyvos, Loksa Bistro Bar represents exactly the kind of local gem that makes independent travel on the island so rewarding. It is a place to recharge, to chat with whoever happens to be sitting nearby, and to absorb a side of Lesvos that feels genuinely lived-in rather than dressed up for tourism.
Before you go
What to expect
A relaxed bistro bar in the heart of Mytilene where locals and visitors mix over coffees, cold drinks, and light bites. The atmosphere is unhurried and sociable — the kind of place where an afternoon hour slips by without you noticing.
Best time to visit
Open year-round; liveliest in the evenings from spring through autumn when the town is buzzing and outdoor seats fill quickly.
How to get there
Loksa Bistro Bar is right in Mytilene, the island's main town, so it's easily reached on foot from the port or anywhere in the town centre.

This has quickly become a favourite in Mytilini and we are happy to stop by when possible. Cute cafe/bistro with a fixed and a seasonal menu that offers modern Greek food with an international twist to affordable prices. The customers are mostily young and alternative but even if you are neither you won't feel out of place or unwelcome. The homemade lemonade is delicious!

It took 20 minutes for the waiter to take my order, one ice coffee and a wrap (labelled as "fast food" on the menu). After I ordered, the coffee was served in 15 minutes. The ice coffee was lukewarm, I had to ask for ice and it tasted like water with coffee flavour the most. I told the waiter i needed to meet my group in 20 minutes, she confirmed that my order was being prepared. Other tables that ordered after me had been served. After waiting for 35 minutes, the waiter said that they could cancel my order or it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. I had to leave to meet my group. They charged me for the horrible ice coffee. Plus side, music and vibe of the street was nice. If you have time to kill why not, otherwise avoid at all costs. Response to owner: the issue is not the serving time of the ice coffee. The issue was that it was warm, not cold. On the other hand, if the prep time is 10 minutes for the wrap and it takes you 30-35 minutes to start preparing it (the waiter told me the wrap would be ready in 5-10 minutes 35 minutes after taking my order), maybe you have more tables than you can handle. Another example of owner not owning upto their mistakes. A sincere apology and a promise to make it up next time would result with me deleting my negative comment. I was objective, I gave the atmosphere 4 stars👍, but my drink was not worth even 1 star, the service was so bad I could not eat anything in a restaurant for 55 minutes.

Sorry for your experience in our place but you asked for a cold filtered coffee.. which was served in 10 minutes a respectable time and you asked for homemade falafel which takes 10 minites preperation and the serving time to a shop tha serves other people too…sorry again but we should judge objectively<br>

Beautiful and cozy place, hidden in between Mitilini streets. The food is very different from any other cafe or restaurant in Mitilini. Only the prices are a bit high for the amount of food served, specially for Mitilini. 😊 But definitely worth it for once a while lunch expense. Loved their sandwiches! 👍😁
Make a day of it
