About
Tucked along the waterfront near the quiet settlement of Alyfada, the Marina Yacht Club offers a relaxed haven where the rhythms of the sea set the pace. Whether you arrive by boat or by land, the atmosphere here is unmistakably nautical — a place where the clinking of rigging mingles with the gentle lapping of the Aegean against moored hulls. The cafe draws a mix of sailors passing through, locals who know a good spot when they find one, and travellers looking for somewhere unhurried to sit with a coffee and watch the water.
As a cafe, Marina Yacht Club serves as far more than a pit stop. It is the kind of place where a mid-morning freddo can stretch into a long afternoon, especially when the light turns golden over the bay and the surrounding hillsides take on the warm hues of the eastern Aegean afternoon. The setting rewards those who slow down — the views toward the water and the easy camaraderie of the clientele give it a genuine local character that polished resort bars rarely replicate.
For visitors exploring this quieter stretch of the Lesvos coast, away from the busier tourist centres, Marina Yacht Club represents exactly the kind of discovery that makes independent travel worthwhile. It is a place to refuel, to orient yourself, and to feel briefly like a regular somewhere you have only just arrived.
Before you go
What to expect
The terrace sits right at the water's edge, close enough to hear the rigging clink against moored sailboats. Sailors on passage, local regulars, and visitors looking for somewhere quieter than the main harbour all end up here, nursing a coffee longer than they planned. The mix of people and the easy view across the bay give it a character that feels genuinely local rather than staged.
Best time to visit
Late spring through early autumn is ideal; summer evenings are especially atmospheric when the light softens and turns golden over the bay.
How to get there
The club is on the eastern waterfront of Mytileni, just over a kilometre from the town centre — follow the coastal road in the direction of Alyfada and you'll reach it at the water's edge.

A great spot in the city tho in busy hours they probably need more staff cause service is agetting slower. Avoid Sunday and Saturday (11-15) if you want it to be quiet as it is a family and child friendly place that gets loud during those hours. Pricey, in my opinion.

Best coffee.. View as you see the whole marine.. You could have breakfast, branch or a meal.. The prices are typically a regular for a place like that. It has take away for coffee. I don't know about the meals. It has an access to a wheel chair.. Service is fast and the waiters are kind
