I booked for one night initially and ended up staying for two nights. It’s a nice, independent hotel owned by a nice woman. Location is perfect for a good night’s sleep. I will definitely stay again.

About

Tarlas Rooms offers comfortable guest accommodation in the Mytilene area, positioned on the southern reaches of Lesvos near the quiet coastal settlement of Alyfada. Staying here places visitors within easy reach of Mytilene, the island's vibrant capital, where the waterfront promenade, Ottoman-era castle, and lively tavernas create a quintessential Aegean atmosphere. The surrounding landscape blends olive groves, sea views, and the unhurried rhythms of a Greek island community that has welcomed travellers for centuries.

For visitors looking to explore Lesvos without the noise of the town centre, Tarlas Rooms provides a peaceful base that still keeps the capital's amenities close at hand. Guests can spend their mornings wandering Mytilene's neoclassical streets and its archaeological museum before returning to the calm of a residential setting as the afternoon heat settles in. The proximity to the southeastern coastline also means that small pebbly coves and clear Aegean water are never far away.

What makes a stay here particularly appealing is the chance to experience the island on a more personal, unhurried scale. Independent travellers and couples seeking a straightforward, well-located room rather than a resort setting will find Tarlas Rooms a practical and welcoming choice. With Mytilene's ferry connections, local markets, and cultural life just minutes away, it serves as an ideal launchpad for everything Lesvos has to offer — from the petrified forest in the west to the traditional villages of the interior.

Before you go

What to expect

A quiet, residential base on the southern edge of Mytilene where mornings are calm and the city is still a short drive away. You wake up near olive groves and sea views rather than harbour noise, which suits travellers who want Mytilene's amenities without being in the middle of them. Small pebbly coves along the southeastern coast are within easy reach for an afternoon swim.

Best time to visit

April through October is comfortable; July and August bring the full Aegean summer heat, so early mornings and evenings are the best time to explore.

How to get there

Tarlas Rooms is on the southern outskirts of Mytilene, roughly a five-minute drive from the port and town centre. If you arrive by ferry, a taxi or a short drive along the coastal road brings you directly here.

Below average for the price! Room was too small. To get in the toilet you had to stand to do your business, location was ok terrible sound proofing not recommended at all!

Honestly…really not impressed with this place for money requested. Style over substance…looks nice but that’s where it ends. Weak ac, terrible shower unit (one of the worst from 102 countries I’ve visited) and the worst of all…the incredibly unfriendly lady at reception. The coldest welcome. She did not even acknowledge my mother.

Clean and standart rooms. A bit far away from (20 min. walk) old town. If you don’t reach out whether the luxury room, you can stay here.
