The Zorbas

My husband and I stayed at The Zorbas Apartments for four nights. Well, we should have stayed much longer. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, fully furnished and equipped. However, these were not the factors that made our stay unforgettable. Pelayia, herself was. Her organisational skills are amazing. She is cheerful, kind, very hardworking and meticulous. Moreover, she doesn't seem to force herself to be like that; it comes naturally to her. She gave us the warmest welcome, as well. Actually, I had anticipated that, as we the two nations call each other 'komşu (neighbour)'. Obviously, it was an understatement. We are definitely 'family' now dear Pelayia. You made the vacation an unprecedented experience. A million thanks sister! I know we will visit you again, and again and again. One last quote from my husband, "It was so hard to leave. If you follow my tears from the port to the left, you can find your way to The Zorbas."

We had a truly wonderful stay at this apartment hotel — one of those rare places that instantly feels like home. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and modern, with thoughtful touches throughout. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Mytilene, close to lovely cafés, restaurants, and everything you might need. But what really stood out was the warm, welcoming atmosphere created by the host, Pelayia. She went above and beyond to help us with local recommendations, logistics, and anything we needed — always kind, generous, and professional. Beyond that, we genuinely connected with her on a personal level, which made our experience even more special. It’s hard to imagine a review that doesn’t reflect the spirit of this place, especially knowing how much care and heart goes into running it. For us, it was the perfect stay, and we would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Spacious and nicely designed rooms, walking distance to the beach, very central but at the same time quiet hotel with very lovely and helpful owners

Our experience with the hotel's communication was deeply disappointing to say the least. When we had trouble locating our booking, we contacted the hotel by phone in early June. A staff member informed us that no reservation was found in their system and advised us to proceed with a new booking. However, a few weeks later, the same staff member unexpectedly messaged us, stating that they were expecting our arrival the next day. We explained that, based on our previous phone exchange, we had not made any travel plans to Mytilene. Their response was simply to redirect us to Booking.com. While we acknowledge that the initial confusion may have originated on our side, we were disappointed by their unwillingness to acknowledge any responsibility for their own role in the miscommunication or the inconvenience it caused. Furthermore, they dismissed our suggestion to transfer the reservation to a future date during the off-season—even for fewer nights-something that could have demonstrated flexibility and goodwill. Instead, the interaction left us with the impression of a transactional approach (more like predators) lacking the spirit of hospitality the hotel claims to embody. On top of this, the interaction ended with the staff members accusing of making false claims via booking.com. Regrettably, our impression was that the attitude of the management fell short of the warmth and generosity that define true Greek hospitality—and certainly did not live up to the spirit of “Zorba,” as suggested by the hotel’s name.

If you're going to stay in Mytilene, Zorbas Apartments is the ONLY place to be. The host was incredibly warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We felt like family from the moment we arrived. The apartment was brand new, spotless, and decorated with impeccable taste – stylish, modern, and cozy all at once. Honestly, it felt like a 5-star boutique hotel hidden in the heart of Mytilene. Don't even bother looking elsewhere – Zorbas is a true gem. But be warned: you'll need to book in advance – this place is a treasure, and everyone wants in!

Everything was wonderful. There were plenty of options for eating and drinking within a 5-minute walk of our accommodation. We also chose Tsamakia Beach for a swim, which was also a short walk away. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. The hotel owner, Pelayia, was very helpful and friendly. If we come again the island, we’ll prefer Zorbas again…

Excellent accomodation! Conveniently located in the heart of Mytilene Zorbas offers a suberb service. Fully equipped for everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Excellent decoration, comfortable bed, smart tv with streaming services and aircon. Probably one of the best studios I have had the pleasure to stay in! The owner makes sure that you have everything you might need and more! Well done! Would definitely book this hotel again!

The Zorbas is located just a 3-minute walk from the port and only a few steps away from the sea, making it a perfect spot to stay. The property is a beautifully restored historic building, and everything feels brand new and exceptionally clean. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable, with every kitchen utensil thoughtfully provided. The VIP setup was a delightful and delicious touch. I can confidently say this is one of the best accommodation options on the island. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Palagia, the owner of the apartments. She is incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for places to visit throughout our stay and even making restaurant reservations for us. We are truly grateful for her hospitality!

This is our third time in Midilli and it was the best hotel we stayed ever. The location is the best too. close to city center and the port. Room is shiny clean and comfortable. Dear Pelagia was so kind, helpful, friendly and sweetheart. Thank her for perfect hospitality.
