Visitors say
From baklava to ice cream, from kavala cookies to bite-sized desserts, everything is delicious and the staff is very polite and hospitable. Especially the yoghurt with passion fruit ice cream should be tried👌🏻
It is a fancy patisserie at Mithylini downtown. You should try homemade icecream mini magnums. Even you can find special baklavas and many desserts there.
About
Tucked away near the quiet village of Alyfada on the eastern side of Lesvos, Flokaki is a traditional Greek patisserie that offers a welcoming pause for travellers exploring the island's less-visited interior. Like the best neighbourhood sweet shops found throughout Greece, it draws locals and curious visitors alike with the promise of freshly made pastries, cakes, and classic Greek confections. The name itself carries a cosy, familiar ring — the kind of place that has earned its reputation not through fanfare but through consistent, honest craft.
A stop at Flokaki is as much about atmosphere as it is about the food. Greek patisseries occupy a special place in daily life, functioning as gathering spots where mornings begin with a bougatsa or a koulouri alongside a strong coffee, and afternoons slow down over a slice of revani or a tray of baklava dripping with honey and nuts. Whether you are passing through on your way to the coast or spending time in the surrounding villages, this is the kind of stop that reminds you why travelling slowly through the Greek countryside is so rewarding.
For visitors on a road trip around Lesvos, local patisseries like Flokaki represent an authentic slice of island life that larger tourist centres can rarely replicate. The pace is unhurried, the welcome is genuine, and the sweets are made with the kind of care that only a neighbourhood institution can sustain. It is well worth seeking out for anyone with a taste for traditional Greek pastry and the pleasure of discovering a place that feels entirely, unaffectedly real.
Before you go
What to expect
Mornings here follow a familiar neighbourhood rhythm — fresh bougatsa and strong coffee draw in the local crowd before the day properly begins. By afternoon, the pace shifts and the glass counter fills with trays of baklava and slices of revani dripping with syrup. It's the kind of patisserie where you end up staying longer than you planned.
Best time to visit
Open year-round; mornings are when the pastries are freshest and the atmosphere most lively.
How to get there
Flokaki is right in Mytilene, within easy walking distance of the town centre and the harbour.

We immediately got addicted to this boutique patisserie. The service is now and the tastes are fantastic. Our strongest recommendation is the combination of mastic ice cream with chocolate pie. The pie is deliciously gooey yet not too sweet. For those to love citrusy tastes can go for lemon sorbet and orange pie. See photos!

For 2.50€ per scoop, the ice cream wasn't really worth it. It is almost like soft serve.
Owner Response
Our authentic gelato must be served at -13 degrees Celsius. That's why the soft felling. Thank you for your review!

Awesome! The staff was only too happy to help out. Since it looked like they're busy, I took that as a good sign that they know what they're doing.
