Porto Lesvos I
Visitors say
This hotel is fantastic, super central but calm for the night sleep, room very clean and bed very confortable. The owner is super professional and kind, the communication is fluid and easy with him. We had a sea view from our room. 100% recommended
Great value and a central location for sightseeing and restaurants
About
Tucked along the quieter eastern reaches of Lesvos near the small coastal settlement of Alyfada, Porto Lesvos I offers travelers a welcoming base from which to explore one of the Aegean's most storied islands. The hotel sits in a part of Lesvos that rewards those who venture beyond the well-trodden paths, where the landscape softens into olive groves and the sea takes on the deep blues characteristic of this corner of the northeastern Aegean. Guests can expect comfortable accommodations with the relaxed, unpretentious hospitality that defines family-run lodging in the Greek islands, providing a genuine sense of place rather than a resort-style remove from it.
The surrounding area offers easy access to some of Lesvos's quieter pleasures — unhurried mornings by the water, drives through villages where olive oil production has shaped daily life for centuries, and the particular stillness of an island that has long been a crossroads between the Greek and Anatolian worlds. The coastline near Alyfada is far from the summer crowds, making Porto Lesvos I a good choice for visitors seeking the authentic rhythm of island life. Whether you are using it as a launching point for day trips to Mytilini, the petrified forest near Sigri, or the thermal baths at Eftalou, the hotel provides a peaceful retreat to return to at the end of the day, with the gentle sounds of the Aegean never far away.
Before you go
What to expect
Porto Lesvos I sits right in the heart of Mytilene, putting you within easy walking distance of the harbor promenade, the castle hill, and the morning bustle of a working island capital. The feel is family-run rather than resort — staff who know the island well and a relaxed pace that lets you settle in rather than just pass through. It works equally well as a base for day trips across Lesvos or as a quiet retreat after a long afternoon exploring the old town.
Best time to visit
Late spring and early autumn strike the best balance — warm enough to enjoy the coast, without the peak-summer heat and crowds of July and August.
How to get there
Porto Lesvos I is located within Mytilene itself, a short walk from the main ferry terminal where boats arrive from Piraeus and the surrounding islands. No car required to reach it — the harbor promenade leads straight there.

If you’re lucky enough to find availability at Porto Lesvos Hotel in Mytilini, don’t hesitate, just book it! The location is perfect, just a short walk from the port, beach, shops, and cafes. The hotel is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. A special thanks to Mr. Giannis, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout my stay from offering room options to sharing local tips, he truly went above and beyond. I highly recommend this place for a relaxed and enjoyable stay in Lesvos!

It’s located on a really noisy street full of bars and clubs. Right opposite is a Cuban bar blasting music until 3am in the morning. I checked out at midnight instead of enduring this madness. Spare yourself the agony and find a more sedate location.

Beds and sheets could be better and cleaner, bathroom was good and clean. Staff is helpful. Our room was facing toward the bar across but when you shut the windows it’s pleasant enough to sleep.

Not the best but also wayyyy from being the worst hotel. The room we stayed in was ok in size, good about hygiene and the hotel is great in location. It was just unfortunate the room faced the next building's rooftop that was used as a storage area of old & broken stuff. We didnt have any breakfast so no comment on that. And we were (I guess) too used to recieving compliments from the hotel (at least tea, coffee, a few bottles of water), having nothing but 4 candies here was a bit disappointing but whatever! 😅

Very good located hotel. Comfy beds and modest breakfast with low price. Friendly and helpful staff. There are lots of bars and pubs around the hotel. While Its being a good thing for party people, can cause headaches for others. You may feel the music from your room until 3 am.

Small hotel. A cute traditional building. Very clean, located in the happiest, most convenient place in mitilini.value for money, very helpful manager. Everything as I hoped to be. I would definitely stay there again.
